Cook kits can be configured as needed and below are the cooking equipment I configure for the trip and what I plan to eat.

Light weight cook kit (boil water to have rehydrated food)

Wood (mostly) burning kit = carry more to eat well

My large cook pan when I eat something not boiled

Stuff to make things easier, if I am willing to carry it
